Leah Sutton is an artist who primarily works with photography, performance, shadow art, projection, and object alteration. She graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with her Bachelor of Art in Cinema and Photography, minor in Art History and received her Master of Fine Art in Interdisclipinary Media also from SIU Carbondale.
Her work is centered around Victorian natural history and focuses on the connections of preserving natural materials and childhood ephemera. Through extensive historical research, Leah makes connections between 19th century society and experiences of living in the 21st century.
