Media Arts Practice: Artists’ Books

 This course explored the idea of the book as an art object rather than an index in which art is contained. What happens when a book is not a linear narrative that is read left to right? The book as an art object becomes an interactive sculpture that impacts the experience a viewer has with the piece. Students were encouraged to redefine what they know as a book and the function that traditional bound books play in a world of e-books and AI.
